In the summer Lillaz is an excellent base for hiking and climbing, both in or out of the Gran Paradiso National Park, for easy walks through woods and meadows. At half an hour from the village there is a mountain climbing training area, with some ways suitable for learning and preparatory climbs.

A few yards away from the village there are picnic facilities, a small sport fishing lake and a children playground.

In the winter ice-climbing fans can find some of the most renowned cascades in the area, both easy and demanding, while cross-country skiing lovers rely on wonderful tracks regularly maintained and challenge themselves in off-track skiing excursions. The less sporty can enjoy the wonderful view of Mont Blanc or walk along the pedestrian paths. Lillaz is a good starting point for ski-mountaineering excursions. A ski and snow racket rental establishment is available.
