Lillaz, the village

Lillaz is a village of the Cogne territory, in the province of Aosta, Nort-West Italy, located one and a half mile east of the main town, at 5,350 ft. (1,610 meters) above sea level. The village features the show of the wonderful waterfalls, recently classified as natural monument, formed by three successive falls of the Urtier stream, easily accessible via a footpath in 10 minutes' walk from the village.

There are also three restaurants, a mini-supermarket and a tobacco and souvenir resale.

In the summer Lillaz is an excellent base for hiking and climbing, both in or out of the Gran Paradiso National Park, for easy walks through woods and meadows. At half an hour from the village there is also a mountain climbing training area, with some ways suitable for learning and preparatory climbs.

A few yards away from the village there is also a picnic area.
